The other day I was doing some thrift store shopping with my parents and we ended up at my favorite goodwill. Granted, I’ve only lived here for a couple of months, but every time I go here I find some amazing deals. So here’s the deal of the week -
Most of this was in one HUGE goody bag near the linen section. Some of what I found wouldn’t fit in the picture (for instance, to go along with that one Simplicity pattern are about 10 other casi-brand new ones!). The red patterned fabric contains over two yards in great shape! Several fabric pencils, patterned craft scissors, thread, etc… All of this for less than $14.
I love thrifting. Found anything neat at your local thrift store lately?
PS. I will share my secret gw with my Atlanta readers – lavista road!

Nice finds! I still haven’t been sucessful with thrifting around me. Oh well, I’ll keep looking.
Thanks, Lauren. Don’t give up looking! You can always wait until garage sale season starts up again – always good finds to be had there
Yikes! All that for $14….. you’re good!
Hey, did you know what the wooden object at the top left of your photo was or did your mom have to tell you? My grandmothers both used it and taught me how, but it is not something probably use now….. but then again maybe I should.
It is a sock darner! You slide the sock you are mending over it to hold the sock steady while you darn it……
I love those bags they make of random craft and sewing supplies! I always hope for wooden spools of thread in them. Good Find!!!
Thanks
The fun thing is that I could only see a couple of the objects inside through the bag – so I literally thought there was one pair of scissors in there – and was so excited to find 8 different kinds. Love Goodwill!!!
